The next meeting of the Online Business Management for Art Conservators series will take place on Wednesday 16 March 2011 starting at 12:30 US Eastern Time.
The topic will be "Legal Considerations in a Conservation Practice" and I am very pleased to announce that our Guest Expert will be Katherine de Vos.
Katherine was the Guest Expert at last year's extremely successful meeting about intellectual property issues in an art conservation practice. She received the JD. from Duke University School of Law where she participated in Duke's Arts Project (http://www.law.duke.edu/cspd/artscience.html). A specialist in intellectual property, art law and markets she is now a Ph.D candidate in Duke's Department of Art, Art History and Visual Studies.
This year's meeting will again focus on scenarios conservators in private practice might encounter. If, now or in the past, you have faced a legal issue (intellectual property, contracts, torts, or other) that you would like to discuss, please contact me.
